Most returns in ethnic wear happen for one reason: the size chart was guessed, not measured. Here's how to get it right in five minutes — all you need is a measuring tape and a mirror.
The three measurements that matter
- Bust: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it parallel to the floor. Don't pull tight — one finger should slip under the tape.
- Waist: measure at your natural waistline (the narrowest point, usually just above the navel). Breathe normally.
- Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together.
Reading The Baisa size chart
Our charts list body measurements, not garment measurements — each garment already includes ease (breathing room). If your bust says M but hips say L, choose by the larger measurement for kurtis and straight cuts; choose by bust for fitted styles like our backless tops.
Regular vs relaxed fit
If you're between sizes or prefer drape over definition, size up one. A-line and anarkali silhouettes (like our Anarkali Box Gown) are forgiving through the waist by design.
Plus size, done properly
The Baisa cuts XS to 8XL in the same designs — plus sizes are not an afterthought collection. Our Plus Size edit uses longer A-line cuts, deeper armholes and breathable pure cotton.
